Verb classes

Japanese verbs share in 3 classes:


-Regular る(ru)-verbs:

たべる (taberu) - to eat

みる (miru) - to see


-Regular  う(u)-verbs:

かく (kaku) - to  write

よむ(yomu) - to read



くる (kuru) - to come

する(suru) - to  do


The dictionary form is the shortest verb form that can end a sentence.It is the verb form used for listing verbs in dictionaries. A dictionary form ends in the vowel u.

かえる (kaeru) - to return          

いく (iku) - to go             

くる (kuru) - to come
